Venetian hair!

Here's the pictures from Dragon's Lair Yule. I'm really happy with how my hair turned out and feel like it's fairly close to the portraits. I'll have to later look up and post a reference portrait as well.

I should have taken off the site token (on blue yarn) and my hand sewing sissors (on the silver chain) before having the picture taken. My cleavage looks cluttered. :P Ah, well I really just wanted pictures of the hair, anyway.

THank you. Usually I just feel like a mushy butterball, but in this dress, with this hair I felt lavish and beautiful. It even makes my waist look tiny!!

Thank you, this is my first serious foray into trying to replicate the hair Raffaella probably would have had. It definitately help get into the head space, so to speak. I love that I didn't have to resort to non-period methods to get it either and since I haven't put goop in my hair much since high school was doubly glad that I didn't have to put it in then try to get it back out.

One wash and it all fell out, no hassle. Yay, Period hair!

Yup, I had a little assistance from my friend Kate, but she wound up only really needing to cheer me on. It was way easier than I first thought.

The one thing I'd definiately do differently is make sure to part my hair evenly down the middle when I make the pin curls. It's way to hard to get them to lay right if I don't. It could have been way more even.

Thank you. The length is actually natural. I just got the waves from braiding, and the bun is an add on faux piece.

The hair is indeed fabulous. And the necklaces give the viewer a nice easy line to follow down to your cleavage, which I'm sure isn't wat you were going for, but was probably appreciated ;-)
